At Children’s Place Association, we believe that community collaboration is key to growing a thriving and sustainable community.
We are excited to embark on one of our Child Thrive initiatives, Mission In Action (M.I.A.), as the program starts on April 19th!
M.I.A. is a teen-led program for at-risk youth grades 9-12 who will meet regularly to make the community and the world a better place. The teens will gain leadership and social skills from the support of school leaders, community partners, local organizations, and industry expert volunteers who help guide and mentor the group with their chosen community-focused projects.
Focused areas for this program include community activism, high school performance, career and college readiness, and positive relationships and identity.
