Welcome Dr. Algean Garner II as our Director of Clinical Services. In this role, he will be spearheading the expansion of our mental health initiatives and trauma-informed care services for the community.
Dr. Garner is a clinical psychologist with 25+ years of experience in community mental health working with children and families, trauma survivors, and individuals diagnosed with chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance use disorders. His experience includes directing and leading community health service centers and psychology training programs. He also focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Dr. Garner earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Health from Shaw University and his Doctoral Degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Holds memberships with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and the American Psychological Association. He is a Board Member of WINGS Program Inc. where he serves as Vice Chair of Programs. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Garner enjoys cooking, motorsports, reading, and listening to jazz.
