Did you know that 1 in 4 Chicago kids live in poverty? They live in under-sourced neighborhoods where the violence is high. For over 30 years, Children’s Place Association has been advocating for Chicago’s youth, and our work today is as important as ever. 

However, our ability to meaningfully impact communities in need and move our mission forward depends in large part on the support of our community partners, sponsors, and YOU, our volunteers. Whatever your skillset or time commitment, we have something that fits you! Here are some ways you can become a child champion: 

JOIN A COMMITTEE OR BOARD: 

  • Once Upon a Time Gala Committee – a group of passionate individuals from a variety of different backgrounds who lead the efforts for our largest annual fundraiser, which takes place in April each year. 
  • Junior Board – a dynamic group of committed young professionals who volunteer their time for service projects and organize a premiere fundraising event to raise awareness and much-needed financial support for the organization.

ADOPT A FAMILY

Our annual holiday event is where we provide gifts and essentials to our children and families served by CPA.  Adopting a family or signing up to help us organize and assemble gifts for the families in December.

PUMPKIN DECORATIONS AT THE EARLY LEARNING CENTER 

Enjoy a fun morning with our kids decorating and carving pumpkins on October 29th from 10:00–11:30 AM.
