The children and families we serve live in communities with high crime and employment, face housing insecurity and hunger, and often lack access to the support they need to treat their illness, and, yet they are resilient. Our new Child Thrive Out-of-School programming shows you just how little steps forward can have big results.
Learning Conflict Resolution
There was a moment when three young boys were nearing an altercation, and one of our interns noticed it. They made individual time to hear all sides and brought them back together to settle their differences with conversation and reasoning – life skills that will continue to help them become pillars in their neighborhood and in the world.
