Children’s Place Association received $8,000 in renewed funding from Bright Promises Foundation – EQUIP fund. The EQUIP grant will support an intensive instructional support training program for our 0-3 Early Learning Center staff. Through this funding, Children’s Place will continue to engage a consultant expert in CLASS (Classroom Assessment Training System) to train staff and follow up with in-class coaching, coordinated follow-up, observations, and feedback. Having an expert consultant knowledgeable about CLASS, Head Start, and Instructional Quality who can provide in-classroom support over an extended period will help us achieve improved learning and developmental outcomes. The Instructional Support training and consulting project will enhance the excellence and consistency of education services throughout the Center and help teaching staff provide the best support to prepare children for kindergarten and academic success.
“The Bright Promise Equip Grant provides the necessary funding to support our staff development that might otherwise be out of reach. In addition, by having this external source of funds, we can offer services that would not have been possible without it. Grants like these have a tremendous positive snowball effect. It allows us to enhance our program by providing intentional coaching directly to our staff, which in turn helps create high-performing classrooms that develop student outcomes that exceed expectations,” said Porsche Snowden, Executive Director of Early Education & Support Programs.
