Cinaiya Stubbs
PRESIDENT & CEO
Cinaiya Stubbs is a nonprofit leader whose work is rooted in service to youth and families living in some of Chicago’s most underserved communities. She is committed to helping them build capacity by creating access and expanding equity. Growing up in Chicago, a city that is systemically and geographically segregated, has given her a deeply enlightened perspective, one that she uses to inform her efforts.
John Sweeney, MBA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, CHILDREN’S PLACE INTERNATIONAL
John Sweeney joined Children’s Place Association in January 2007 as the Director of International Programs. He became Director of Strategic & International Programs in 2010 and was named Deputy Executive Director in 2012.
Shantal Alonso
CHIEF PHILANTHROPY & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Shantal Alonso joined Children’s Place in February 2021 as the Chief Development & Communications Officer. She brings over twenty years of experience in fundraising, organizational development, marketing strategy, grassroots advocacy, volunteer/donor/board relations and event programming.
Maurice Fears, Sr.

A Non-profit professional for over 20 years, Maurice has dedicated his life to the work of inclusion, equity, and leadership development.
LaToyia Neal
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
LaToyia has 20+ years in financial management and 9 years of non-profit experience. Prior to joining Children’s Place Association, she worked in the capacity of the Director of Finance for the Chicago Department of Public Health where she ensured timely and accurate financial services and revenue management to internal and external customers.
Dr. Algean Garner II
DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES
Dr. Algean Garner II was hired in early 2023 as the Director of Clinical Services. In this role, Dr. Garner is responsible for spearheading the expansion of our mental health initiatives and trauma-informed care services for the community.

Ivan Harrison began his career at Children’s Place Association in November 2004. He previously served as the Substitute Care Services Program Manager in from January 2007 to October 2009.

Porsche Snowden
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES AND OPERATIONS
Porsche Snowden was hired in the fall of 2017 as the Early Learning Center Program Manager. In this role, Porsche is responsible for the operations of the Children’s Place Association’s Early Education, Initiatives, including the Early Learning Center and Home-Based programs.
