Children’s Place Association is pleased to announce the newest addition to our esteemed Board of Directors, Mr. Christopher Parker, Vice President and Director of Community Engagement at Wintrust Bank. In assuming this pivotal role, Mr. Parker brings two decades of leadership in the banking industry, earning recognition as one of the preeminent African American bankers in the western Chicagoland area, particularly within the commercial banking sector.
Mr. Parker’s commendable achievements include receiving the executive leadership award from CRAINS Chicago for his impactful contributions to economic development and finance. Additionally, he serves as the Board President for the African American Business Association of Will County and holds positions on the boards of Housing Forward and the Will County CED.
In expressing his commitment to Children’s Place Association, Mr. Parker articulates, “CPA reminds me of what happens when the right advocates connect and provide opportunities during challenging times. I am familiar with family challenges and have seen where CPA makes a difference for our families! I want to make sure CPA continues being the light for so many families who may be facing a few dim lights in life. Our programs and staff members are exceptional, and I hope to see our work expand to more families.”
